Code some holiday cheer with CoderDojo volunteer Jill and her son Max!
Happy holidays, digital makers! This season might look a little different from what we’re all used to, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still spread holiday cheer. For our last show of 2020, we invited two community members to help us celebrate the season with code: Jill and her son Max! We loved coding with Jill and Max, and we loved the message they shared: “Coding is for everybody!”
Max is a fellow digital maker who attends a Code Club at his school and LOVES coding in Scratch. Fun fact about Max: his favorite project that he’s created in his club was a quiz about the flags of different countries. Jill has been volunteering at a CoderDojo in London for three years now, and her background is in journalism, so she herself is learning more and more about coding every day.
Together we got extra festive with the free online tool BlocksCAD to create a 3D snowman! You can create your own snowman and more, so make sure you check out our other BlocksCAD projects over your holiday break.
When we see you again, it’ll be 2021! We have many more live stream sessions planned in the new year, so we’ll see you again on Wednesday 6 January at 7pm GMT. Happy holidays!
