U.S. data privacy agreements

Welcome!

If your school or district requires a data privacy agreement (DPA) before using Raspberry Pi Foundation products, you’re in the right place. A DPA outlines how student and staff data is collected, used, stored, and protected while they learn and teach with our products.

This page will help you find the agreement appropriate for your state and get it signed. Protecting data is just as important to us as it is to you.

Which agreement do you need?

In some states, your district can join a DPA that is already in place with us and another district by signing a General Offer of Privacy Terms (Exhibit E). This gives your district the same privacy protections without needing to complete a new DPA.

If an Exhibit E isn’t available in your state, simply complete the state-specific DPA instead.

How to get your agreement in place

I’m a teacher or staff member

If you’d like to use Raspberry Pi Foundation products in your classroom, someone in your school or district with authority to sign contracts (such as an administrator, technology director, or procurement officer) will need to complete a DPA or Exhibit E with us.

Here’s what to do:

1. In the list below, find and download your state’s agreement.
2. Identify the appropriate person at your school or district who can complete it.
3. Share the agreement with them, ask them to complete it, and send it to us. You can use the template message below if you find it helpful.

I’m a district or school administrator

Thank you for helping your school or district bring computer science to their classrooms with Raspberry Pi Foundation products.

Here’s what to do:

1. Find your state in the list below.
2. If Exhibit E is available, then review the agreement and sign the Exhibit E.
3. If Exhibit E is not available, then review, complete, and sign the full state agreement.
4. Email the signed agreement to experience-cs@raspberrypi.org and keep a copy for your records.

Find your state below and download the appropriate agreement. If you don’t see your state in the table below, see the section immediately below it.

Where Exhibit E is available, this is the document that needs to be signed. Otherwise, the full state DPA needs to be completed and signed.

No problem, we can still help you.

Depending on your state’s data privacy requirements, we may be able to use a standard Student Data Privacy Consortium (SDPC) template, review your district’s own agreement, or find another solution.

Template message for teachers and staff members

Need someone at your school or district to approve a data privacy agreement? Copy the message below, fill in the details, and send it to the appropriate administrator.

Please keep the information about the agreement, contact email, and links unchanged so your district receives accurate information. Remember to attach the relevant DPA or Exhibit E before sending your message.

 

Subject: Request to use Raspberry Pi Foundation products — Data Privacy Agreement

Hello [name],

I would like to use Raspberry Pi Foundation computer science products, including Code Classroom and Experience CS, in my classroom.

Our [school/district] may require a data privacy agreement (DPA) before sharing student or staff data with external partners such as the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has already prepared a DPA designed to meet student data privacy requirements, including those specific to our state. I’ve attached the agreement for your review and signature. Once it’s signed, please email it to the Raspberry Pi Foundation at experience-cs@raspberrypi.org.
