Issue #142 - Connected

Hi all

This week, on Raspberry Pi’s fourth birthday, the Raspberry Pi 3 was announced with a third-generation Raspberry Pi chip, a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core, featuring onboard wireless LAN and Bluetooth. It’s available now at the usual price of $35.

Also, the Foundation’s Education Team ran our first ever Picademy in the USA – and applications for the second course are now open. Educators can apply now!

This weekend the official Raspberry Pi birthday event takes place at the Computer Lab in Cambridge. We hope to see many of you there!

Ben
