Issue #324 - Bridging the digital divide

Howdy,

The closure of schools has called attention to the digital divide, as some young people are struggling to continue their education because they don’t have access to technology. We are working with partner charities that help us identify the right recipients for our tiny computers, so that they can learn at home.

We also tell you about ways teachers can support novice programmers, and at how parents can help their young coders get really, really good at Scratch coding!

And make sure to check out the Raspberry Pi–powered infrared camera that learnt to detect when your feline is trying to drag a ‘gift’ into the house with it.

Peace,

Ashley
