Problem with pacman

Wed Feb 11, 2015 5:26 am

I have a fresh install of arch arm on my pi. I tried to update the os but I ran into two problems.
The first problem was that pacman said that all of my packages were corrupt.
The second problem is that now pacman can't find any package I try.
This is my first time messing with arch arm so any help would be appreciated.

Can you show us the output of:

cat /proc/version

How did you make the install, where did you go to get arch?

What model of Pi do you have?

And what commands did you use to try to update and to find packages?

I made the install following these instructions:
http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv6/raspberry-pi

My pi is the model B.

I've tried a combination of these to try to update:
pacman -Syu
pacman -Syyu
pacman -Syy

The commands I've tried to install packages:
pacman -S <package>
pacman -Sy <package>

cat /proc/version returns:
Linux version 3.18.6-2-ARCH (builduser@leming)(gcc version 4.9.2 20141224 (prerelease)(GCC) ) #1 PREEMPT Sun Feb 8 09:43:43 MST 2015

Problem may have been resolved. A friend let me borrow their monitor so that I would be close enough to plug it into my own router, instead of using the ethernet port in the wall of my roommate's bedroom. Meaning the issue was caused by my apartment building's stupid ISP.
