Kernel 3.18

Tue Feb 10, 2015 4:43 pm

I noticed that there was a leap from kernel 3.12.36 to 3.18. Right now 3.18.6 is running on my Raspberry. So the Raspberry's kernel is really up to date now.

That is great news. Big thanks to the developers! :)

3.18.6 was the last of the 3.18 series. Does this mean the next update will bring 3.19 along?

3.18.6 is the current version in the 3.18.y series; after we had 1 to 5 over the last couple of weeks.
The next one will most likely be .7

Send an email to Torvalds @ kernel.org you can ask him. Don't expect a polite reply.

The next update will be 3.18.7. I wouldn't expect a 3.19 kernel to be started for a while yet.
