I've been having a few problems with my RPi2 initially the tv (a 5yr old panasonic) connected to the hdmi cable would flicker, then the picture would go off completely until rebooted, then it wouldn't provide any output on the panasonic at all and would only work on a 2 year old sony tv. Having been in a similar situation with an older model B Pi a couple of years ago I've been swapping power supplies, usb cables and hdmi cables - as these seem to be cause of 90% of the Pi issues. I created a known good set of power supply, usb & hdmi cables that worked consistently with my old pi and either tv. But I could still only get the new Pi2 to work with the newer sony tv, but then it started to exhibit the same intermittent behaviour with the sony as it had with the panasonic. As I was using the NOOBs image I entered recovery and set the config_hdmi_boost=8 (originally =4 ) thinking that the hdmi signal may need boosting on the newer Pi, and rebooted. Unfortunately this did not produce any display output at all and after a couple of attempts at rebooting (by removing and reapplying the power) I noticed that the LEDs were no longer coming on but the processor on the Pi was getting very, very hot.
It looks like I have a dead Pi2, possibly one that's gradually deteriorated, is there anything I can do to fix it?
