Hoping to get some direction from the community

Sat Feb 07, 2015 12:13 am

Hello,

I have a current non-wireless device that I would like to incorporate a rasperry pi to give the ability to communicate with peripherals via bluetooth, as well as connect to wifi for broadband connectivity.

I have read about the unbelievable capabilities of this all-in-one developer board but do not know where to begin to find someone to help me with such a thing.

Does anyone know of any companies that can accomplish such a thing?

Thank you in advance

If you want your pi to communicate over bluetooth than check out the Adafruit Bluetooth 4.0 LE Friend http://www.adafruit.com/products/2267. Hope this is what you wanted:D
A computer's power can't be just measured Gigahertz. It is the same thing with us humans.

You would need to find a Electronics Company who will undertake prototyping, but you do not state where you reside :!:

In that case, please refine your description of what you want. We need to know why that suggestion doesn't fit so we can find one that does. Also, as mentioned above, your location would be useful if you do need to find someone to do some prototyping or development for your product.

thank you for the replies, I am located in Pennsylvania near philly

i suppose that what I am really trying to do is retrofit a raspberry pi into an existing automation device with Motorola micro processors

yes, I would be interested to hear of any companys that would be able to prototype/develop this sort of thing

No point bumping if you don't explain why previous answers are inadequate. A Bluetooth device was suggested but was "not exactly what I am looking for". So what ARE you looking for?

If anyone in your area wants some prototyping work and has read the thread, they would probably reply by PM. Otherwise you're asking a volunteer community to help with your commercial project. You need to help us to help you -- probably no-one will do the hard work for you for nothing.
