Hdmi audio vs alsamixer

Hi i have kodi on the raspberry pi i want to know whats the best audio input to choice HDMI or Alsamixer thanks.
By thinking like an engineer you can create a raspberry pi.
Michael Jackson enthusiast.
I got the PI model B, B+ and PI 2 model B.
When will I get the A? I don't know.

KODI is this software installed in Raspbian Wheezy ?

..or do you mean Raspbmc/OSMC or OpenElec Operating Systems ?

How or where are you inputting audio :?:

I install kodi using this tutorial on raspbian http://michael.gorven.za.net/raspberrypi/xbmc

For what purpose does XMBC (if at all) support audio
input ?
