Wireless Keyboard and Mouse support question

Thu Jan 15, 2015 3:05 pm

I am new to this world.
I have just bought a new Raspberry Pi kit and want to minimise the number of wires.
I am about to purchase a wireless kbd and mouse.
There is just one small dongle/transceiver to plug into the RP USB port.
What are the odds that this will be supported by Raspbian?
The device description is: Microsoft Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Set 2LF-00021
Thank you

The 'regular' id of that set apparently is Wireless Desktop 800.
According to http://elinux.org/RPi_USB_Keyboards it should work...

Dirk, many thanks for your input.
Looks like it should be OK - I am off to purchase one tomorrow.
Will update if it works.
