Pi rail

Tue Jan 06, 2015 4:44 pm

So I have my new raspberry pi B+, I have my 8ft by 4ft n gauge model rail layout with about 40 points to control. At the moment I am running a sprog setup to guide and power the trains and the normal point control is by means of a switch to a solinoid point motor. I have added an lcd touch screen to the pi and have just paid for a 16 point output to switch some of the points. Does anybody have any experience with model rail and a pi combo as I would love to chat and share ideas and plans..

Sorry...my only experience with Pis and rail was running one connected to the provided WiFi on Amtrak...which is probably a bit larger scale (i.e. 1:1) than your set up.

Does this fit the bill?

It has been my custom to use Xeyes
