My Element 14/USA ship date is tomorrow, June 28

My order date was March 20 after registering interest earlier.

Is my order really going to ship tomorrow?

It's anybody's guess. I ordered on March 13th, I got June 18th, then it got pushed back to the 21st, and now the 28th. There was another poster that contacted Newark/Element 14 about ship date and based on the conversation, Newark/Element 14 doesn't seem to know themselves.

I too ordered in March... Been checking every day since the expected ship date at one point bounced from June 28 to June 21, then back to today, the 28th. As of right now my order status from Element 14 has changed from back order to received which can only mean good news... I've got everything ready to set up for XBMC so all thats left is to ship and get it in my hands!

Yes, my order says back order, but inside it says received.

If it doesn't ship by tomorrow, I think I might just cancel it - what's the point of ordering if it never ships?

There are other things I could spend my attention on anyway. I could have ordered a $49 APC, but expected my Pi would ship sooner and the shipping costs seemed too high. But the machine has a much higher spec - probably would have been better off with that.

I'm also hoping that my Pi from Newark will ship today, ordered on March 20th, been showing expected ship date June 28th for a couple of weeks now. Noticed that status changed to received earlier today.

I also placed an order with Allied on 29th Feb, nearly a month earlier, its anyone guess when I'll get a ship date from them.

Mine got pushed back to July 5. If it doesn't ship then, I'll be busy with the Nexus 7, and there won't be much point in fooling with it.

I ordered March 12th, got August ship date, then June 21st, pushed back to the 28th now July 5th. I think the August ship date is more accurate

Mine hasn't slipped yet. I was really keen to support this project, with the educational aspect and the Cambridge connection, but out of all the speculative kickstarters and crowd-funded things I have supported and am waiting on, this one is the most frustrating because it's commodity components which should be able to be turned out to meet demand.

I ordered launch day (Feb 29th) and most recently had 6/18, 6/21, 6/28 ship dates. Now they're telling me some orders have slipped a week due to unforeseen problems. It's to the point where they're not even willing to guess on a date any more.

I had a similar experience with Element 14/Newark.ca of having an expected ship date of June 28th, with the status marked as "Received", and now it's back to "Back Order" with an expected shipping date of July 5th.

I chatted with customer service about that, and what happened is that they were expecting a shipment, so they marked the items as "Received" even though they had not received them yet. When they realized their shipment wouldn't come, they all went back to "Back Order". Basically, their status updates are bullshit and their expected ship dates are nothing but guesstimates.

I placed an order on March 26th and my expected ship date moved from June 28th -> July 5 th and now it is at july 12th. I think i will wait for few more weeks and cancel this order (interestingly people who ordered late in april around the world are getting these). Also when contacted RS they are unable to help out as i have placed the order from Newark, looks like there are separate queues newark not sure though.

Also interesting thing that i notice on their website is that from july 5th we can directly order without any registration for interest.

Pushed back twice... 28th -> 5th -> 12th. It seems like they are never going to ship these things. Guess I chose the wrong vendor to purchase with. At least RS seems to be upfront about everything while Element14 hides.

Mine was shifted from June 28 to next week, but has apparently shipped and will arrive on Friday, July 6.

Here's hoping it works and I'll have some time to actually play with it prior to my Nexus 7 arriving and taking up all my play time.

Got it booted with a 16GB SD card, the standard Debian image, a Logitech keyboard/trackpad from a settop box with unifying receiver and an old Kindle charger.

Everything seems to be going fine.

Chromium seems to flake out a little on Google+ (and Google+ won't accept Midori), so I ended up posting that photo from my phone.
