Please help! I am quite new to raspberry pi an to Linux, and I have only had one for a few weeks. The other day I got I have a problem when I turn it on everything works until I try and type something when it says 'Enter runlevel:' and if say I type 2 after this it says 'INIT: Entering runlevel: 2'
Then 'INIT: no more processes left in this runlevel' and after this the mouse and keyboard don't do anything. Please help and thank you for your time

Just to help refine the advice you get - is this related to PiDora? [As a first pass at the issue I'd suggest it is almost certainly software/system related, not hardware, so knowing which OS you are running might be relevant.]

No. NOOBS is simply an Installer, not an Operating System. You must have installed an Operating System for it to be talking about Run Levels.
The simplest way forward - if you don't have too much work to lose - is simply to use NOOBS to re-install your choice of Operating System.
