Good power supply?

Hey,

Just got the email letting me know my pi has shipped. Decided it was time to get the parts I'll need when it comes in. I've found/have everything suggested except for a power supply.

I see the recommended specs for the power supply are 5v and 1000mA. I live in the us, and have been searching the internet for a reliable 5v 1000mA power supply, but haven't been able to find anything promising.

I was wondering if I could get suggestions for currently working ones. I don't want to get this thing in the mail and blow it up because I bought an off brand that said 5v when it really was 6v. Again, I live in the US, so any suggestions will need to be a NA standard plug (I believe they are known as NEMA).

You can find a pretty large list of confirmed working power supplies here, many of which fall into the 5v 1000mA range

You could also power your Pi from a powered USB hub:

This PSU from RS delivers 1.2A, which I find quite interesting:

(I guess you will find the NEMA plug equivalent on Allied Electronics site).

That's the PS I'm using. They were out of stock when I received my Pi last week, but they were back in stock last Friday and I ordered one.
