cant go sudo in vnc client

I cant use gparted or similar su required in the vnc client, when i enter the password raspberry, it just ask for the password again and again, but in ssh client the password works fine. any idea whats wrong

I've got exactly the same problem. Anyone with an idea how to fix this?
I can't even save a text file to a usb mounted flash drive. I can open files on it though.
