I Can't Boot Into Raspbmc or Openelec?

Wed Dec 31, 2014 10:52 pm

I have one of my micro sd cards for Raspian OS. Whenever I turn my Pi on with that card in, it boots fine. However, whenever I try my other Micro SD card with either Raspbmc or OpenElec, my Pi doesn't do anything. The TV says no signal and my keyboard and mouse doesn't turn on at all?

thanks!

It is the B+ model.

As for the LEDs;
Both the Red and Green one just stay solid. No blinking or any patterns of some sort. They just... stay on...
Just like when I boot into Raspian OS, which has always worked.

I'm using an 8GB Micro SD Card which I installed Raspbmc onto using the installer and an adapter for the Micro SD Card.

Thanks!

That cannot be correct. If the green LED stays solid on a B+ the card is not read and it will not boot...
So if you install Raspbmc or Openelec from a downloaded .img file make sure you follow the instrucions at http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentatio ... /README.md
I would always re-format the card with the SD formatter first.

Yeah, sorry, with Raspbian, the green light blinks a few times, then boots. Only with Raspbmc I get a solid green LED. I'll try using SD Card Formatter then install with the image of Raspbmc!
