Leap Motion + RasPi

Does anyone else think that, later on in its life the Leap Motion doohickamywhatsit will be able to support the Raspberry Pi? It would be amazing as you'd have this awesome motion sensing computer in a tiny case for around £75. And with the many uses the RasPi is being used for, this would open up a whole new world of opportunities. And if there was a future version of the RasPi and the Leap then you could sort out, for example an interactive living room.

What do you think you would do with a RasPi and the Leap (assuming they worked together)?

(Sorry if this is in the wrong area, I'm new here)

First , lets wait till customers (not developers) hold that device in their hands for the advertised price.

But they seem interested in Linux , and if the drivers are open-source , it'll happen.

Well I've pre-ordered one - if you go to leapmotion.com they're offering them up at $70 plus postage

I've got a Leap Motion, and I've got a Raspberry PI. I don't think the leap motion device supports ARM linux drivers yet.

Leap motion has stated they will be releasing an ARM Compiled Linux driver in a few months.

I doubt the raspberry pi would have enough power to do very much, but it could definitely work as a java socket server, for passing leap data to an HTML5 webpage on say an Ipad, or another device not supported by the leap motion.

well May 13th is the day apparently when shipping starts - an 8 month wait seems interminably long compared to how long it took me to get my pis...

cool. looks like it still relies on a PC of some kind to glue it all together though.
My LeapMotion turned up last week and it is a really really cool device. Not tried plugging it into one of Pi's yet

I used a PC to proxy the Leap Motion data to the Raspberry PI which moves servos based on the Leap Data.

I need to use it for my project based on Deaf and Dumb.
