Sound connection

I need help with connecting sound on my Model B Pi. I recently installed the latest Noobs sd card running Raspbian OS. I have cabled the HDMI connection with adaptor to a DVI Monitor; the vision is perfect but, of course there is no audio. What must I do to proceed? Please help.
