pi lite gpio pins, which ones does it use

Fri Dec 19, 2014 5:36 pm

hi
I am making a robot and I want the robot to have a face, and display some words so I bought the pi lite but I realised it covered all the pins so I don't know which ones I can use for my l298n and other things. Would any one know which pins the pi lite uses and if I can put other boards on top of some of the pi lite pins. so far I have looked far and wide for it.

Thanks in advance
olly :)

That page says
Data is driven by the Pi serial UART (you may need to setup your serial port, see below docs).
Runs at 5 volts off the Pi supply (49ma max)
So you need 5V, Ground, TX and RX
That should not be a problem in your setup.
and if I can put other boards on top of some of the pi lite pins.
Don't think you can do that directly on the header that's plugged into the Pi.
But looking at the board I would say you can put a 'duplicate' header on the pi-lite (the 26 empty holes just above the led's)
Maybe someone who owns one can give a more definite answer.

Dirk.
