When will the be a NEW "When will the be a NEW Rpi?" thread?

I remember back in the good old days when it seemed almost every other day someone was posting a new thread asking "when there will be a new rpi" or asking if there was some new feature that could be added.

Those threads always seemed a fun and interesting read with plenty of blue sky thinking mixed in with unreasonable expectations and newbies wanting nice intel i7 latops for $10.

Unfortunately it seems no one is asking those questions any more, yet it seems when ever I ask someone if its possible to do something with the pi I am told its unsuitable for the task.

I wonder what has happened to the community such that everyone has switched from asking for more and dreaming about whats going to come next, and moved on to simple negatory dismissable of using the pi for anything.

Why is the pi selling so many units if it is unsuitable for real computing. what are people actually using it for?

I heard that the next model spec could soon be in initial brainstorming phase, so wonder what does everyone think is the worst thing about the rpi?

When will people start asking for upgrades again?

I know this thread is locked but I cannot resist. Because RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.

I have no idea where mung hears these things, but I believe that every single thing he has 'heard' has been wrong! So, as a lesson to the masses, don't believe the voices in your head. They are untrustworthy.
