RPi won't boot (sometimes)

Sun Jun 24, 2012 2:43 pm

Hello,

My Raspberry Pi won't boot into Debian 19-04-2012. Using RS power supply (1200 mA) and TV out with USB keyboard and cordless mouse. No Internet connection available. Tried hexxeh kernel and others. Using 8GB Kingston SD 4 (SDHC). Error messages are too fast...

Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch.

Two suggestions to try first -

If the pi is booting up but you're seeing errors, use the scroll lock button on your keyboard to stop the screen from scrolling whil you make notes.
try using a different SD card if you have one.
If it doesnt boot, do any lights come on other than the power supply?

I get something with:
Buffer I/O mc???

Sometimes something with "due to keyboard entry"

Sometimes just a kernel panic.

Now, I tried ArchLinux.... so problems seen so far, using same SD card.
