The screen should not be a problem. But for the touchscreen to work you'll need drivers.
You said you already had the screen. So try to connect and watch the USB devices. ;)

Code: Select all

I have a Hannspree HT231 monitor. 23" 10pt multi-touch with HDMI, DVI, VGA.
The touchscreen works in Raspbian by USB without modification but only in a limited single touch mode. The mouse cursor moves to where you touch the screen. You double tap on an icon and the application might open.... Try 2 or 3 times to open...
Note I briefly tried this several months ago and have not tried it since so maybe something has improved since then? There is supposedly some multi touch drivers out there but don't know which screens work with them?
I like the monitor and works well in Windows 8.1
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.
