Making a compact motion detection setup.

Thu Nov 13, 2014 6:59 pm

Hello all!

Lately I've been toying with using the Raspberry Pi for motion detection and triggering my DSLR. After a few revisions of it, I've managed to get the whole setup packed entirely into a small, standard case.
Essentially, it's a Pi model A and camera, controlled from my smartphone using a bluetooth serial adapter, and using Motion-MMAL to detect motion and trigger the camera. It's powered from a DSLR battery which fits, along with a DC-DC regulator, perfectly into the ModMyPi case.

I'd love to hear any feedback on it, or any suggestions for improving it!
