linux, how does this work ?

Thu Nov 13, 2014 6:51 pm

I see a folder named boot/ contains
gzrom.bin, initrd.pz, ramdisk.tar.gz, vmlinux

/bootloader contains pmon.tgz, u-boot.tar.gz

/kernel contains linux-2.6.21.5.tar.gz and linux-2.6.32-20140325.tar.gz

/os contains minisys.tar.gz

questions,
1) which one get boot first? in boot folder or boot loader folder?
2)Do I burn all these files into an image to boot? what I do with these files and folder?

There's no context to your question, certainly doesn't sound like it's about the pi. But it seems like whatever hardware you're using relies on u-boot to load linux. Or it might be no used at all and just there.... it depends.

That is a fairly easy test , just remove files till some thing brakes!

So do you have alt suggestion?
Renaming the files (one at a time) should work as well.. although such 'cave man' methods might be considered a tad primative;

Or perhaps just using Google - this information is already available 'out there'.

To the OP, I seem to remember you have made quite a few posts along this line recently, some are not raspi related - please, before posting, try a search - many of your questions could have been answered more quickly that way.
