So excited! RaspPi almost here!

I got my Pi last week. Setting up was a breeze, followed the instructions on Raspberry official site. It worked as advertised. Very slow for general Web Browsing. Midori is usable but frustrating as it has no facility to cancel web pages when they struggle to load. In the beta release of Pi OS called Wheeze (download from office pi site) there are two new browsers I think one is called Net Surf and the other Diblo or similar name. Net Surf is Ok to use, but Diblo(or similar name browser) is simply amazing. I am willing to bet it loads text pages as fast as Chrome/ Explorer. It struggles with graphic images(pictures), but some time even the pictures load very fast (I would say very very fast). This browser gives an indication that Pi will become much more popular then the guru's think.

More to follow! Gam

You're thinking of http://www.dillo.org/ :) It's quite fast, but also quite basic.
You can also go one step further and 'sudo apt-get install lynx' which is a totally text-mode web-browser (and so even faster) :) Which is how I first started surfing the web back in the mid-90s...
