Epiphany browser

Thu Oct 23, 2014 4:00 pm

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the new tab button so that it opens my default browser or even just a blank page please? I'm getting sick of having to clear my history all the time to get rid of the tabs.

Have you checked the settings? I don't have access to Epiphany ATM, but I'm sure you can change the home page to blank and also whether or not tabs are re-opened.

Yes I have checked the settings, they are pretty basic. There isn't even an option to turn history off.

P.S. I am running the Raspberry Pi/Raspbian version.

There isn't even a home page setup or button for home page. All the tabs from previous session are automatically brought back. Very annoying.
My home page is a local file so I just start by clicking on my local HTML file. Just have to remember to close all old tabs before exiting.
Epiphany is pretty much the same on RPi as it is in other versions for Linux etc. Installed Epiphany on my Fedora 20 box..... Looks a little different but same functionality.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.
