No usb device works?

Hello all!
I am having trouble connecting my Pi to the internet, i have tried 2 different Wifi Dongles, an Edimax (which worked before) and the one it came with (which also worked before). Both of these work on Raspbian, however since i want to use Musicbox none of these devices work, in fact no USB device works on Musicbox, but does work on Raspibian.

Any ideas?
also i cannot connect it to ethernet since the place i am currently staying at doesn't allow that

Is it a Pi B+ ?. USB needs modern "firmware" to work with a B+. Musicbox may not be late enough.

Ah no, it's a normal Pi B. Sorry for missing out so much info, i don't know what to include considering i can only use the terminal if i put raspbian on it, none of the USB's appear to work in Musicbox, although it does see that i have a USB device plugged in (the wireless dongle). I've repeatedly checked to make sure that all wireless credentials are correct, and have even attempted to connect to a different network all together, but no luck!

Also Raspbian FULLY works with ALL of my wireless dongles!
Is there a way to get Mopidy on Raspbian? Since all i want is a spotify server

Did you net check out the Mopidy web site ? https://docs.mopidy.com/en/latest/installation

It boots into Raspi Config, but i can't use the keyboard properly. the only button i can use is Enter. it's all plugged into a USB hub

Like @RaTTuS I'd like to know is the USB hub independently powered, or are you sucking power out of the RPi to try to drive the usb devices? Maybe this is a power supply issue?
