RetroPi - connecting to Internet via Terminal

Thu Oct 16, 2014 6:26 pm

I'm using :

Pi B+

RetroPie

-------------------------

How do, just got my Pi today... I have it booting to RetroPie (though I don't have any ROMs yet :( ) and I have a terminal as well...

I'm trying to connect to the internet, I have a WiFi USB adaptor connected to the Pi B+

I've followed a guide that I found here - https://databoyz.wordpress.com/tag/how- ... pberry-pi/

I've followed that guide to the letter but I'm still not able to do anything.

If I try and run

sudo apt-get update

I get a few errors for 'could not resolve....'

I can't use

ping "www.google.com" either as it says ' unknown connection'.... I'm guessing it's definitely not connected...

Any guidance here would be great, thanks

Can you post the output of 'lsusb' and 'ifconfig -a'...

Hey Dirk - I got it working now :)

Part of the problem (big part.... ) was that I had O's instead of zeros in one of the config files... doh
