Has the Shellshock bug been patched in the October 2014 release?

I just did an update and Shellshock test code, and it's fine. If you want to run it, I found it in this video:

Note the October release is dated 1 October. Bash was updated after that, so if you want the most up to date version of the patch, make sure you run pacman -Syu after installation, to get the most up to date version of bash.

You can get the latest version of the script that checks for vulnerabilities, directly from github:

Not all of us can go to youtube, and there are a lot of pages on the web giving example code for testing bash. The above script is great, the output is very, very self explanatory, unlike the snippets I found posted around the web.

Yes quite so, but the OP is using Arch Linux Arm :shock:
Rather than negativity think outside the box !

Well they just need to run the test script in that thred nothing distro spesific AFAIK about that , tho perhaps that is not immediately obvious.
