How to control Canon Selphy CP910

Mon Oct 06, 2014 8:43 am

Hi bro,
Currently I am trying to control my printer (selphy cp910 & selphy cp900) by Pi using java :ugeek:
My Pi connect with printer via USB cable.
In Pi, I use newest CUP with CP900 driver to control both CP910 & CP900, it work fine but I couldn't detect printer problem (out of paper or ink) so I couldn't retry or do any thing else (alert for operator to feed ink, etc ...)

Do anyone try with this before ?

P/S: I have used CanonEPP to check, and this software work fine, it could detect when printer is going wrong and show alert, I just wonder how CanonEPP works ?

Hey, see my post here which may help albeit quite late for you. viewtopic.php?p=747363#p747363
I get some status over lpp but not all. Did you make any progress reverse engineering the official canon app?
