Fried Raspberry Pi Model B Rev2

Sun Oct 05, 2014 9:36 pm

Hi, abought a year ago i fried my first pi by putting 12 volts from a pc power supply into the 5 volt pin onaccedent, when ever i used 5 volts i was fine, but 12 busted it, now it wont boot and the lights wont work. now i have several pis, and i want to use the busted one in a project, when i acctualy looked at it, i discovered that the 3.3 volt pin and ground were shorted, and i dont know what part i need to replace, i dont care if i use a part that might not work (like a different diode), like i said, i dont care busting it more, i can always just salvage the ports and move on, thanks! :D

the "part" that got broken is likely the broadcom SoC.
