Ad Hoc network on plane?

Sat Oct 04, 2014 7:58 pm

I was wondering out of curiosity if it is possible to make an ad hoc network on the plane with a raspberry pi. I mean, is it legal in the US. I use it to play movies on my iPad. If not, then it is not a big loss. Most of you will tell me to not risk it and I will not, just wondering if anyone else had done this.

Have you had both devices certified by the FCC & FAA? Because, if not you'd probably be violating some regulation somewhere.

Thanks! It was worth a shot.
