Pi B+ - where are the voltage testpoints?

Mon Sep 29, 2014 8:51 am

I am used to check the incoming voltage on the Pi to see if there is a problem with the supply.
On the Model B there were test points that could be used for this, but I cannot find any on my newly bought B+.
So how can you check what is actually delivered to the Pi after the supply drop because of load and the cable drop because of thin wires?
I would like to measure the voltage on the Pi board itself somehow.

There are spots on the back, marked PP# , If I remember correctly PP7 is 5V and PP6 is one of the GND spots.

PP1 & PP2 = +5VDC directly from the mirco USB
PP7 = +5VDC after the fuse.
PP3 = Ground (But easier to connect at other places such as metal shields on Ethernet jack etc).
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.

Thanks!
I did not receive an email alert on the replies so I thought my question went unnoticed....
Strange forum that defaults to no alert on replies....
Have to remember to tick the checkbox every time. :(

Probably something in settings? I am automatically notified forever without checkbox.
Though I am using the prosilver option which much better IMO than the default layout.
User Control Panel --> Board Preferences --> My Board Style ---> Prosilver

THanks!
I found the PPx points and measured PP1 agains the Ethernet case.
It was a bit low at 4.86V, but I guess it is still within tolerance.
