Plex client... Looking for advice!

Tue Jun 19, 2012 6:12 pm

Hi All,

So i have a plex server on my nas box. I am also now the proud owner of a Raspberry Pi. So my challenge is to get some sort of plex client running. Im looking for anyone who can offer any advice whatsoever around this topic. In the Rpi spirit im up for a challenge getting something to work.

There is source code for the Roku app available here https://github.com/plexinc/roku-client-public .... can this be tweaked / re written?

There is a linux app.... will this work on arm?

any ideas at all are hugely appreciated. cheers,
jt.

Howdy! My first post on the forums. Yay!

I'd also like to know the possibilities of this. Also, I'm still to receive my Raspi, but gathering information in advance doesn't hurt. Does it really work so that a PC is running a Plex server and Raspi working as a "Plex" client? Further, I might just get to know the XBMC and not use Plex at all :)

Hi, has anyone tried compiling plex for raspberry pi ? As it's based on XBMC which compiles ok, i'm suprised no one has tried yet.
