Raspbmc -- Pandora?

Fri Sep 12, 2014 2:47 pm

Can I run Pandora on the PI with Raspbmc? Non -- problematic? (Don't want to pursue this if it's one of those "ordeals").

If so, what's the BEST way to do it?

Thanks kindly.

I do have a working wifi connection on a model B.

I've had great success using the bash program called pianobar to listen to pandora from the pi.

I've had limited success using XMBC to listen to pandora via a pluggin. Though to be fair, I have not tried the one fruitoftheloom suggested.

The plugin I have on my Windows-based XBMC HTPC (Pandora-json, or some-such) works like a champ for me. Everything gets translated to DLNA, so I can control it from a remote control point, see the album art, even seek in the current song. Don't know how they do that.

Exit XBMC from the shutdown menu (choose exit, not shutdown).
At the blue screen press Esc and you will be greeted with a login prompt.
The default username is "pi", the default password is "raspberry"
