[question]How to use an USB Wireless Network Adapter

Thu Sep 04, 2014 1:03 pm

FreeBSD Handbook says it doesn't support USB Wireless Network Adapter because the drivers is not support in unix system.
How can use it on PasPI in FreeBSD system?

Depends on the wireless adapter. Many should "Just Work"; though you'll probably have no luck with n-type. Try a g-type one, and check dmesg.

I've used this adapter http://www.amazon.com/Edimax-EW-7811Un- ... rds=edimax and it worked pretty well. I had to follow these instructions to get it to work: http://malacube.wordpress.com/tag/edima ... d-install/ although I think it only works in wireless-b mode right now.
