B+ ONLY BOOTS KANOS

Ok, Im not exactly a beginner, but I feel like one so here goes.

Have a B I'm using for a robot, setup w/ composite, everything works well.

Bought a B+ to program and the ONLY thing that will boot is KANOS.

Ive tried NOOBS,WHEEZY,PIDORA you name it.

Ive tried 3 different micro sd cards, 1 i even put in the B and it boots ok.

Im using a USB mouse, USB keyboard, wired ethernet, 2A PS and HDMI.

KANOS boots up, sets up no probs.

I use the recommended FORMATTER4 to set the card up then

Im using windiskimage32 to copy the image over.

I will admit I have NOT tried to use this w/ composite video, because thats not how I need it setup, and thats in anopther room.

any ideas?

Thinking of buying a pre loaded card, but hate to pay for what i can do myself (Ive only been using Linux full time for 10 years)

Is it formatted as FAT32? Also, when you say it won't boot, what are the symptoms?

nothing on the screen at all when trying to boot from anything but KANOS

also noobs doesnt work either

and yes fat32

ive tried from windows(my wifes laptop) and linux, no go

you are doing something wrong, any OS should boot, perhaps with older images the LAN9512 won't get a clock signal, but it would boot anyway. Read the boot problem sticky.

Are you sure you're following the instructions correctly? You mention using Win32DiskImager, but that's not used when installing NOOBS...

Have you tested your SD cards with H2testw? Have you tried installing other OSes onto the card that works with KANOS, to rules out the SDcard being a problem?
If you get a card that boots in the B, but not the B+, try swapping all peripherals over between the systems one at a time, to see if you can track down a non-working part.
