Open Source Jasper ERROR

Mon Aug 25, 2014 3:03 am

I have set up everything with the Jasper Open Source Client. Though it hasn't asked me to connect it to a wifi network but in the youtube tutorial I watched--it didn't happen there. There is one big error:

When I run it it won't say anything at the start so then I did some digging. When I try to run the boot.sh the following happends:

Code: Select all

Invalid value for card
audio open error
audio open error: No such file or directory
Then I have to press enter to type in another command. Jasper is not working. What could be the reason for this?

Code: Select all

arecord -l
And then find your sound card that you are using, the add -D plughw:[card #],0 to the jasper start.sh. Can't test it since I'm getting a new fuse. Hope this helps.
There are 10 types of people: those who understand binary and those who don't.
