Hello,
I have just got my brand new Raspberry B+. However, I get no signal on my hdmi monitor and i'm not sure if it's powered on.
my equipment used:
Raspberry B+
Kingston 16GB SDHC Class10 micro SD card
5V-2A Power adapter : http://www.hn-electronic.de/?products=h ... tt&lang=en
and a keyboard: Cherry MX-Board 3.0 USB
I tried the following:
downloading the Raspbian Image, extracting the zip and writing the image directly to the sdcard using dd (/dev/mmcbk0, IIRC). Mounted the partitions afterwards was possible.
Plug everything into the Pi. Keyboard, HDMI, SDcard.
switch my monitor to hdmi input (yes, my monitor works on hdmi)
plug in the micro USB power connector.
Nothing happens. No image, no LED on the PI or on my keyboard is on.
I tried the following:
Verified the Socket is powered.
Tested with my phone charger (5V, 0,7A) Samung
still nothing
unplugged hdmi and keyboard
plugged in ethernet cable (yes, its connected to my router and the port is working)
plugged in power
-> no power led on PI or ethernet port
couldn't find the device on my router's management software...
Prepared Noobs Image:
download latest NOOBS zip
deleted partitions from sdcard with parted, and created one (whole disk) with fat32
mounted sd-card partition
extracted NOOBS zip to sdcard using unzip
using sync and umount
Configuration:
monitor, keyboard, sdcard, power
-> nothing happens
tried the same steps with a old 2GB micro SD card
-> still nothing
Is there anything I can try or should I send it right back to the retailer?
