ebay UK B+ Case £4.00

Seems a bit cheap, but bought one anyway, as do not need a fancy case !

When I bought they were £3.00 and he had sold about 200 before price rise !

That style of cut acrylic case has been £2-3 forever.

Ok cases, I've used the model B versions for a while
minor problem is that the clips are flimsy and easily broken if you take the pi in/out of the case often
- no issue if you leave the pi in the case from day one.

...the reason I posted is unlike the B version it includes mountings which should make for a better fit.

Though wholeheartedly agree that the clips are not fit for purpose ;)

The same? case can be bought from China/Hongkong ebay for £3.35 free delivery all over the world.

The UK distributor in the POP's ebay link asks at least £3 extra outside of the UK for p&p.

Ofcourse the wait for delivery will be much longer!

I did not want to wait 3 weeks for a case, hence why stated UK ebay in title, and not worldwide ;)

The china unit is not the same - it has no screws, and so uses the same "bend/snap" fit as the old model B cases.

As well as the mounting screws, the pi works one has screws to hold the sides together.

Received the Case and fiddly to put together, but with the Pi bolted to the base in correct orientation, the rest is straightforward., nice to see it has bolted side panels, more robust than clips.

£4.00 is a very good price and if looking for just a case and not a fashion statement the this will be ideal

+1. Putting it together is not a task for those with 10 thumbs. And do it over a box or tray to catch the bolts and spacers you will drop.

Start by attaching the RPi to the base plate.

I chose to 'knock out' the larger opening around the HDMI port. That's a lot harder than removing a SIM from its carrier! I resorted to a Stanley knife.
