Header/plug for P6

Mon Jul 28, 2014 6:43 pm

Hi,

Firstly, this question is sort of between subforums in suitability, so I guessed and put it here.

I'm working on a project where having the external reset signal of P6 wired up would be useful. I don't really fancy soldering wires straight onto my Pi, so I'd like to buy a 2-pin header and fitting plug for the P6 holes.

I'm not 100% sure what I'm looking for. Would the following items work?

If not, suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jack

Looks OK. Solder the pins to the board, solder the socket to the end of your cable (or just use a pair of breadboard dupont wires).

The first one would be fine (but I have loads of those around that I've salvaged from old boards and equipment).

The plug would be good for fitting to a board that sits on the Pi.

You can also get 2 pin crimp plugs where you crimp the connector onto the wire and then push it into the plastic body.
