[RESOLVED] Raspbian is not starting (jdb2/mmcblk0p2)

Tue Jul 22, 2014 1:31 pm

Hi,

I was using the Raspberry PI (installing Pi-blaster exactly (note that I have Servoblaster too, if that can help)), rebooting it and now it won't boot up..
I've done a "fsck" for the ext4 partition and that fixed lots of things ! But that didn't solve the problem.

When the Pi is starting, I have the following message : "task jdb2/mmcblk0p2-:40 blocked for more than 120 seconds" which is shown every 2min..
Here is a picture for more debug (sorry for the reflection of me in the screen ahah) :

Regards

Looks like your SD card is damaged, mmcblk is the SD card block driver.

How long have been using the SD card? They do wear out after a time.

My SD card should be 1 year old maybe, but not used often..

If the problem is from SD, is it possible to clone it to another one, and keeping the system as is ?

Impossible to know - depends how badly damaged / corrupted it is... I'd personally start afresh rather than running the risk of re-copying corrupted files, but of course YMMV :?

I tried to format the SD card and start from scratch but I had input/output errors sometimes..
So, I tried another one and actually that is working, so the problem is the SD card !

Thanks for your help :) !
