GPS Navigation Software

Sat Jul 19, 2014 3:10 pm

Hi,

I am building a device that will enable the visually impaired to navigate to predefined locations using GPS + speech output. So far I have successfully used the SIM908(GPS module) to get NMEA data. Now, I am looking for some GPS navigation software that can take this latitude/longitude data and can output the direction to travel. I have looked into Navit, but this tool is completely graphical and would not be ideal for a visually impaired person. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
