Full rc car kit

Sun Jul 13, 2014 7:05 pm

Hi, I'm wanting to make an rc car with my raspberry pi and I am looking for a kit that contains all the things that I need. I have seen the bricj pi but from what i've seen it actually comes with very little and I dont want to go out and buy a ton of lego. Does anyone know of any kits? Thanks in advance.

Asumming you mean an RPi based robot and not an cheap RC vehicle - many people out there selling Pi robot kits.

4Tronix for instance do a quite a wide range from £20 without a Pi to £80 including one.

Thanks. I will probably buy a kit from here. This is probably a stupid question but I have no experience with robotics at all but can code that has been written for a different control board be used with a dfifferent board (will probably program is scratch or python)?
Thanks.

Each board usually uses different pins to control the motors but generally programmed in the same way.

All of 4Tronix's ones are supported by ScratchGPIO

As are the ones from RyanTeck, MonkMakes and the new Hap-Pi
