pal monitor on raspberry pi

Hi every one i am new to this site.
I have a 5inch screen which only as Pal / Ntsc inputs. I would like to link my Raspberry pi to this screen but it does not seem to work.

Please can you help.

Hi thanks for the quick reply.
No i have not configured the pi for RCA.
I pluged the monitor into Composite yellow socket.
Is it software to config the RCA.

If you provide the information requested you may well get an answer to that question...

From recent memory.. Obviously you just need to update config.txt. Key values are:

Code: Select all

sdtv_mode=2
hdmi_force_hotplug=0

sdtv_mode=2 sets PAL mode for your TV-out.
Setting hdmi_force_hotplug=0 makes sure HDMI doesn't end up overriding your RCA. Or whatever it'll be.

If you are using NOOBS then you may need to make these changes on a few partitions. I usually just make them in every config.txt to make sure -- saves you some trial&error time.
