IPTV

Hi there,

I looking into an Idea, problem is I don't have the skills to end it.

I like to use Swiss IPTV outside of Switzerland.

There are providers like teleboy, zattoo or Wilmaa
all of them provide only browser TV oder mobile apps.

What I like to do is the following:

using a Rasspery PI add beside of the integrated network card a second via USB

This additional Card shall be able to open a VPN connection a standard connection to the outside.
the internal card shall be used inside a home network.

So the PI should logon to sites like zattoo receive the tv station list. but it shall not but the signal to the HDMI out, instead of that it should put those streams into a stream which I can use with any media server (rtmp or http)
Zattoo and co are using Flash players, that why it is complicated

all available channels should be avail for the home network like the following example

http(rtmp)://adresseOfThePi/Channel=10

something like that

best of course would be if the PI could provide more than 1 stream at the time, best would be 3 or 4 but that is not essential as I don't know if the PI can handle that much performance wise.

the whole thing shall use the Ubuntu Linux platform for the pi

setup shall be done via web interface for e.g. VPN, Network, display of available channel, capability to access the Channel list as XML file via http access

please if somebody feels confident to solve that problem make me an offer and describe you like to solve that problem.

best regards
Rene Papez

The first issue is accessing Zattoo and similar services, you would need a XBMC Operating system like OpenElec or Raspbmc for the Pi.

Therefore you will need to investigate if a developer has created a XBMC "add-on" to access these sites.

FYI "Ubuntu Linux platform for the pi" does not exist

FYI Flash Player and Siverlight are not available for any Pi compatible Linux Distribution
