Raspberry Pi as VPN Wireless Password Issue

Mon Jun 16, 2014 5:02 pm

Hi,

I have got my pi operating as an OpenVPN router (using PrivateInternetAccess VPN) as per this guide:

http://alphaloop.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01 ... ccess.html

Everything seems to work fine, VPN is up and running etc. Only issue is that when I try to log on to my new VPN network I get a Network Key Mismatch error (Windows 7) or a Wrong Password Error (Android Phone).

I have configured everything as per the guide so I'm really not sure what to do. I've tried multiple different passwords, nothing works. I'm positive that I'm entering the correct password but still get the error.

Has anyone else come across this issue and if so is there a fix?

Totally stumped!

Thanks

I had something similar a while back, in my situation it turned out the simple password I was using to test it wasn't long enough, and therefore caused the password error.

If you are just testing with a short password, try using a longer one.

Appologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs, that wasn't my intention. :)

Hi mate, not at all, any suggestions are always welcome! I don't think that's the issue though as I was using long and secure passwords before I switched to short ones when it wasn't working. I completely redid the guide and now I can connect via Android but still get the same error via windows, totally confused! Thought I'd done the hard part setting this up just to be foiled by a password!
Thanks
