My Raspberry Pi won't work

Thu Jun 05, 2014 11:57 am

I went through everything in the instructions. First, I connected it to my television, then I put my 16 GB SD card in, next I put my mouse and keyboard in, after that I plugged the power cable in. The red light is on but the green light is not, the picture is not coming on the television, but it's definitely on. I do not know what to do!! :x :(

So what have you installed? NOOBS? or Rasbian? You don't make it clear at all. Or did you install NOOBS and install Rasbian from the menu of OS to install?

If you view the SD card on a windows machine an SD card with NOOBS correctly installed should look like this.

Sounds like the initial reading of the SD card fails and thus no boot whatever the RPi system is on the SD card.
