Okular 0.16.2 and KDE 4.10.2 upgrade for Raspbian

I'm a newbe here so please bear with me.

I have Okluar 0.14.3 with KDE 4.8.4 installed. Everything is working great. We use the Raspberry PI on the production floor to read PDF drawings. I have read that Okular 0.16.2 has a feature to save the file with the notes. The current version does not do that.

The question I have is the Raspbian repository only has version 0.14.3 of Okular and 4.8.4 of KDE. How and where do I go to get the update?

Raspbian Jessie Testing has newer packages

Being a newbe.... I'm not sure where to get the code. Any apps I have added I did a: $apt-get install okular . I'm not sure where the Raspberry is getting the app. I'm guessing it is looking at the SOURCE.LIST. Mine has: "deb http://archive.raspbian.org/raspbian wheezy main contrib non-free deb-src http://archive.raspbian.org/raspbian wheezy main contrib non-free"

How do I get the newer Okular app?

you remplace whezzy with jessie in sources.list.

you remplace whezzy with jessie in sources.list.

get Jessie you update /etc/apt/sources.list replacing wheezy with jessie ie

deb http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/ jessie main contrib non-free rpi

You then need to do sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade to move to Jessie


Maybe best to undertake this on another SDCard from a fresh install of Raspbian Wheezy
