I got a daffodil sound card.

I never got it work correctly, it produced sound but only static. Now I want to change it back to normal. I was just trying to reverse my steps but I completed a series of steps from different tutorials and I can't find the third one. Do you guys have any ideas?
Do you guys know how to set it up to where my sound card plays correctly too? I'd like to have it so I can just use the sound card for the mic in. I wanna use it as sound input for FFT.
